my country has built the world's first 6G intelligent sense integration field test network

"Swoosh..." As a drone took off in the test site, information on the position, speed, altitude and other information of the drone were immediately displayed on the computer screen in the laboratory not far away. This is a scene when the world's first 6G communication intelligence fusion field test network was put into operation a few days ago.

The experimental network was constructed by Zijinshan Laboratory. Hou Huazhou, an associate researcher at Zijinshan Laboratory, introduced that this network consists of radio frequency units, baseband processing units, and perceived data processing units, and is mainly supported by 6G cellular communication, distributed collaborative perception, real-time intelligent computing and other technologies. During communication between 6G base stations, electromagnetic echo can sense the drone target motion trajectory and status information of about 1 kilometer, thereby verifying the perception ability of the 6G communication system.

The total area of the test field of the 6G Tongzhi Sensor fusion field test network reaches 17,500 square kilometers, and technical verification and testing is carried out around six major application scenarios such as 6G synesthesia, Tongzhi Integration, ubiquitous access, large-scale connection, ultra-low latency and high-reliability communication, and immersive communication. It is the first in the world to achieve ultimate connectivity capabilities that are 10-100 times higher than 5G, as well as new millisecond real-time intelligence and decimeter-level perception capabilities, and the overall technical indicators are internationally leading.

At present, the 6G Tongzhi Sensor Fusion External Field Test Network is conducting low-altitude security testing. "When the drone enters the field test area, the millimeter-wave synesthesized equipment in the test network will sense the drone target entering the airspace and intelligently analyze and process the perceived echo information, thereby obtaining key state information such as the drone's motion trajectory and position, speed, and altitude." Hou Huazhou pointed to the computer screen and introduced, "Currently, the perception range of a single sector can reach 1 square kilometer, the perception altitude can reach 500 meters, and the detectable drone radar reflection cross-sectional area can reach 0.01 square meters."

Hou Huazhou introduced that the test network is currently the first to carry out application demonstrations and commercial application pilots for low-altitude economy, such as 6G low-altitude patrol, low-altitude logistics, and low-altitude security, and is negotiating 6G technology verification and testing with Southeast University and Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
