As the "heart" of the reactor coolant system, the main pump is the most critical, core and most difficult to manufacture equipment. The "Linglong No. 1" main pump installed this time adopts an innovative design and has the ability to operate stably for a long time under extreme high temperature and high pressure conditions. The equipment will undertake the critical task of the nuclear reactor coolant circulation, continuously transferring the heat energy generated by the core to the steam generator, generating steam for power generation.
It is reported that as the world's first onshore commercial small reactor to pass the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) general security review, "Linglong One" is considered a benchmark for the development of global small reactor technology. The "Common User Requirements Document for Small Module Reactors" recently released by my country, which contains more than 1,180 technical indicators and more than 8,000 specific requirements. It not only fills the gap in international small reactor technical standards, but also contributes Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the global nuclear energy development, demonstrating China's international leading position in the field of small modular reactors.
