Everyone has a love of beauty, but in the end it cannot withstand the "carving" of time. How to delay aging and prevent the beauty from inside and out from being buried by time? On April 11, at the 4th Traditional Chinese Medicine Anti-Aging Conference held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province, Meng Hong, director of the China Light Industrial Cosmetics Key Laboratory and Beijing Institute of Technology and Commerce, gave an academic report entitled "Evidence-based Study on Traditional Chinese Medicine Intervention in Skin Hair Aging", introducing the subgroup study on skin, scalp, and hair anti-aging in randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center clinical studies.
Meng Hong, director of China Light Industry Cosmetics Key Laboratory and Beijing University of Technology, delivered an academic report at the meeting
"This study adopts a randomized controlled trial design and systematically evaluates the clinical efficacy of Bazi Bushen Capsules in improving skin and hair aging." Meng Hong pointed out that the research team formulated strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, and finally selected 70 female volunteers aged 30-55 who met the diagnosis of kidney essence deficiency. The skin type is Fitzpatrick-Pathak type II-IV, and all show obvious symptoms of skin aging (including but not limited to dry lines, fine lines, eye bags, dark circles, skin sagging, hair loss, etc.) for more than half a year.
Meng Hong introduced that through a combination of advanced skin detection instruments such as laser Doppler instruments, VISIA-CR imaging systems and expert evaluation methods, the study obtained a number of objective data. In terms of microcirculation improvement, after taking Bazi tonifying kidney for 12 weeks, the amount of skin blood perfusion increased significantly, from 46.72PU at baseline to 86.58PU, indicating that the drug can effectively promote skin microcirculation. The skin moisture index also showed positive changes, with the loss of percutaneous water dispersion and the increase in the moisture content of the stratum corneum. These changes were directly reflected in the improvement of the subject's skin quality.
Meng Hong emphasized that the Bazi kidney-toxin group showed advantages in wrinkle improvement. Through high-resolution image analysis, it was found that after 12 weeks of intervention, the average wrinkle depth of the subjects dropped from 61 μm to 55 μm, with a change rate of -8.2%, and the degree of improvement increased with time. The results of the expert blind evaluation showed that the improvement rate of headline elevation lines in the Bazi kidney-toxin group (7.8%) was significantly better than that in the placebo group (5.1%).
In terms of hair indicators, Meng Hong said that Bazi nourishes the kidney and shows a variety of improvement effects. The experimental data showed that the subjects had decreased hair loss, local hair density increased, and hair gloss improved. Scalp testing found that scalp elasticity indicators have improved, and scalp moisture metabolism tends to be balanced. The changes in these objective indicators are highly consistent with the subjective feelings of "secret, smooth, bright and black" that the subjects evaluated by the subjects.
Comprehensive evaluation showed that the effective efficiency of the Basub-group in improving the overall skin status was as high as 97.2%, significantly better than the 85.7% of the control group. In terms of specific indicators such as skin moisturizing and moisturizing, the Bazi Group also maintains a stable advantage. These results jointly verify the effectiveness of Bazi Bushen Capsules in anti-skin hair aging from two dimensions: modern scientific and technological testing and traditional Chinese medicine evaluation.
"This study not only provides high-quality clinical evidence for anti-aging of traditional Chinese medicine, but also lays the foundation for subsequent in-depth research." Meng Hong said that the research team plans to expand the sample size and extend the observation cycle to further verify the long-term efficacy of Bazi kidney nourishment. The relevant research results are expected to be published in many international journals to promote the innovative application and development of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of modern beauty and anti-aging.
