On the 15th, the parallel meeting of the 2025 World Digital Education Conference "Integration and Sympathy: Construction of a Smart Ecology of Vocational Education" was held in Wuhan, Hubei. More than 110 representatives from education departments, universities and industry enterprises from 20 countries and regions attended the meeting.

This conference focused on the digitalization of vocational education, focusing on the four major topics of "exploring the path of digital leading the transformation and development of vocational education, digital reshaping the classroom ecology and learning methods of vocational education, digital optimization of vocational education management processes and decision-making efficiency, and digital enterprises collaborating with the construction of intelligent education models of vocational colleges", discussing new digital transformation plans, jointly building a new ecology of intelligent education, and sharing new achievements in digital development from multiple perspectives such as local practice, regional experience, and international cooperation.
AI is not a tool to replace education, but a spark that illuminates the future. In his speech, He Baohua, president of Wuhan Vocational and Technical University, said that AI should be used to reconstruct the knowledge supply chain, so that knowledge can flow, shorten the time for new technologies to be transformed into courses and the cycle for graduates to adapt to their jobs; reshape the learning equations and make teachers a teaching designer, a growth guide and an emotional empowerer; rebuild the evaluation coordinate system to meet the diverse and multi-dimensional evaluation requirements brought by the needs of personalized training.
Zhang Ying, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of Hunan Railway Vocational and Technical College, deeply analyzed the far-reaching impact of generative artificial intelligence on the educational ecology. She believes that this change is not only reflected in the superficial innovation of teaching methods and technical means, but more profoundly reconstructs the underlying logic of educational concepts, curriculum systems, teacher-student relationships and school management. Only by reconstructing the educational form with ecological thinking and activate the integration of production and education with digital technology can we truly cultivate digital craftsmen who support Chinese-style modernization.
At the meeting, Shenzhen Vocational and Technical University used "Application Programming of Welding Robots in Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing Production Lines" as an example to demonstrate the "Future Classroom". By building a robot welding simulation production line produced by multi-model hybrid lines, it quickly creates robot welding trajectory programs for different models to solve the problem of robot trajectory programming under complex working conditions. Integrate holographic projection, digital twin and other technologies to build immersive virtual and real teaching scenarios, AI-driven adaptive learning scenarios, virtual and real linkage practical training collaboration scenarios, and digital evaluation scenarios, and outline the blueprint for the "future classroom" of vocational education.
At the end of the meeting, Li Zhi, deputy director of the Vocational Education and Adult Education Department of the Ministry of Education, gave a summary speech. He said that in recent years, China's vocational education has been based on the national vocational education smart education platform and taking the three-dimensional collaboration of "resource-base-governance" as a starting point to gradually realize the systematic leap and structural changes in digital transformation. Among them, the National Vocational Education Smart Education Platform has gathered more than 10 million high-quality resources to achieve full coverage of majors; more than 80% of higher vocational colleges have carried out hybrid teaching reforms, and students have online learning time of more than 2 hours per day, promoting differentiated teaching and personalized learning; linking 230 national economic and technological development zones and 178 national high-tech zones to integrate regional multi-party data from the urban industry-education consortium, creating a new position for regional collaborative education in a "block" manner, realizing multilateral linkage between government, schools, enterprises and operations; the International Edition of the National Vocational Education Smart Education Platform has built a new space for multilingual learning, opening four columns: Luban Workshop, ASEAN, BRICS, and Future Africa, launching nearly 20,000 micro-course videos, and more than 300 course resources are the first to go overseas to form a digital series service brand of vocational education.
The meeting is guided by the Vocational Education and Adult Education Department of the Ministry of Education, hosted by Wuhan Vocational and Technical University, and co-organized by Hubei Urban Construction Vocational and Technical College.
