Wang Yi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and foreign ministers and representatives of all members of the Latin America and the Latin America member countries attended.

  Wang Yi said that ten years ago, President Xi Jinping and Latin America leaders jointly announced the establishment of the China-Latin America Forum and advocated the building of a community with a shared future between China and Latin America. After ten years of careful cultivation, the forum mechanism has become an important platform for equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Latin America, adding new connotations to the comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Latin America and injecting new impetus into the building of a community with a shared future between China and Latin America. Wang Yi summarized the achievements made by the China-Latin America Forum over the past ten years.

  First, strategic mutual trust is more in-depth. President Xi Jinping visited Latin America and the Caribbean six times, and received leaders of various regions to visit China. The high-level interactions between the two sides frequently have been frequent, and firm consensus on unity and development has been continuously built, leading China-Latin America relations into a new stage of equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness and benefiting the people.

  Second, pragmatic cooperation continues to expand. Up to now, more than 80% of the financing package has been implemented, and the special loan for China-Latin America infrastructure has exceeded the completion. The two sides actively promote the in-depth docking of the "Belt and Road" initiative with the Latin American development strategy. Major projects such as Qiankai Port and large industrial parks have been completed one after another. New cooperation such as new energy, photovoltaics, electric vehicles, digital technology, and cross-border e-commerce are vigorously carried out.

  Third, the friendly potential energy is constantly increasing. The government scholarships, training in China, and the "Bridge of the Future" China-Latin America youth leaders' training plan have been implemented. The China-Latin America Science and Technology Partnership Program, the China-Latin America Cultural Exchange Year and other activities were successfully held. China's "Latin America fever" and Latin America's "China fever" heated up simultaneously, and we went in both directions.
