Then Hu Shengshou, Director of Fuwai Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, personally lit the torch and solemnly handed it to Yu Xin, the head nurse of the outpatient department, symbolizing the passing of the torch of the doctor. The two held the torch together and led the representatives of the popular science team present to swore in unison: "The torch is passed on from generation to generation, protecting health!" The easy-to-understand expression makes patients feel like they are in spring breeze, and the interactive links ignite the enthusiasm for learning from children to the elderly. Feng Binghua from the Hypertension Department correctly measured blood pressure through a sitcom demonstration and invited 67-year-old patient Ms. Wang to participate in the experience. Ms. Wang sighed: "It turns out that there are so many ways to measure blood pressure. The nurse explains it clearly and patiently. I will definitely do it when I go back!"

Patient Mr. Yang: "I am old and don't understand these health knowledge very well. Today, the nurses are very good at speaking. It is simple and practical. I have more confidence in managing my condition."

A popular science feast, doctors and patients build health together

The event aims to vividly popularize science to show the professional characteristics of the Fuwai nursing team and help the public master practical health skills. Nurse transforms complex medical knowledge into "down-to-earth" content, covering multiple fields such as cardiovascular disease prevention, cardiac rehabilitation, psychological care, and nutrition.

A 10-year-old child learned to pat his back and cough up phlegm correctly under the guidance of Wang Na of pediatrics, and excitedly said that he wanted to "teach the whole family." Another cardiovascular patient said after learning cardiac rehabilitation skills: "This knowledge makes me feel healthier is closer to me." Through the fun-making method, nurses not only convey knowledge, but also cultivate the public's scientific ability to distinguish falsely, injecting vitality into the popularization of nursing science in the new era.

Zhang Linyan, head nurse of the Department of Nephrology, said: "I feel that all the efforts are worth it when seeing patients' eyes from confusion to active learning. Popular science not only imparts knowledge, but also ignites their hope for a healthy life."
