Xinhua News Agency, Islamabad, May 10 (Reporter Yang Kai) Pakistani News and Broadcasting Minister Atora Talar denied India's allegations that Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement reached by both sides on the evening of the 10th.
In an interview with local media, Talar said that Pakistan did not violate the ceasefire agreement and all charges by Indian officials and media were groundless. “It’s a time of celebration and people are cheering because it’s a victory for the Pakistani nation.”
Indian diplomatic secretary Tang Yongsheng said at a press conference held earlier that night that Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement reached by both sides a few hours ago and that the Indian army is countering Pakistan's actions. India urges Pakistan to correctly understand the situation and immediately stop related actions.
Earlier in the day, Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dar said on social media that Pakistan and India agreed to an immediate ceasefire. Tang Yongsheng also announced that India reached a ceasefire agreement with Pakistan.
