Albania holds parliamentary elections

 Xinhua News Agency, Sofia, May 11 (Reporter Lin Hao) Tirana News: Albania held parliamentary elections on the 11th, and voters from both home and abroad will vote for 140 members of parliament.

  Voting starts at 7:00 local time and ends at 19:00. There are 5,225 polling stations in Afghanistan. A total of 11 political parties and political parties coalitions run for election, and the competition mainly takes place between the ruling Socialist Party and the main opposition Democratic Party.

  This is the first time Albania has held parliamentary elections since its initiation of negotiations to join the EU in July 2022.

  The Albanian Parliament is the highest authority and legislative body of the country. It implements a one-house system with a total of 140 seats, each serving for four years.
