A reporter from the Taiwan Taiwan learned that on May 6 local time, four people familiar with the matter revealed that another F/A-18 fighter jet of the USS Harry Truman, the USS Harry Truman, recently fell in the Red Sea. This is the second fighter jet lost by the aircraft carrier in more than a week.

  The cause of the accident has not been fully identified and the investigation is still underway. According to people familiar with the matter, the fighter jet experienced a "blocking system failure" when trying to land. Two people on board were ejected and escaped, and were rescued, and two were slightly injured. The fighter plane crashed into the sea and has not been salvaged yet.

  According to sources, on the day the fighter crashed, Houthi forces attacked the aircraft carrier, and it is not clear whether the two incidents were related.
