Russia and Ukraine exchange prisoners of war again

 According to the Russian Satellite News Agency on May 6, Russia and Ukraine held another prisoner of war exchange on the 6th. The Russian Ministry of Defense issued a message saying that after negotiations, 205 Russian soldiers returned from the Kiev-controlled area. In exchange, Russia handed over 205 Ukrainian prisoners of war to Ukraine.

  According to reports, all released Russian soldiers are currently located in Belarus and are receiving necessary psychological counseling and medical treatment. In addition, these soldiers have been given the opportunity to contact their relatives. All released soldiers will be sent back to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation at medical institutions under the Russian Ministry of Defense.

  The Russian Ministry of Defense stressed that the UAE provided good offices in the process of the release of captured Russian soldiers.

  According to the German news and TV channel website on May 6, Ukraine and Russia once again exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war. Ukrainian President Zelensky wrote on the "Telecom" platform: "Our people are free. Our people are back home." He announced that 205 Ukrainians have returned.

  According to Kiev's staff in charge of prisoners of war affairs, this is the 64th time that the two countries have replaced prisoners since the outbreak of the conflict. It is reported that more than 4,700 Ukrainian prisoners of war have been released from Russia so far.
